Big Cormorant Lake is situated in northwestern Minnesota's Becker County, about an hour's drive due east of the Fargo, North Dakota, and Moorhead, Minnesota metropolitan area. It is about a three hour drive north and west of Minnesota's Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. According to the state Department of Natural Resources, Big Cormorant Lake has 3,379 acres of total surface area. It is a clean lake with excellent fishing, swimming and other recreational opportunities. It also has great sunsets.
The over 300 members of the Big Cormorant Lake Association include year-round and seasonal property owners and also members of the local business community who are dedicated to enjoying, protecting and preserving this tremendous natural resource for future generations.
